Each webinar will be a 60-minute panel discussion followed by 30 minutes of breakout room discussions

  • 1st Webinar: US Federal Civil Service Careers Workshop

    • Date & time: Friday, 8/30/2024 from 1:00 PM- 2:30PM ET

    • Description: The workshop is a combination of panel discussions and small group breakout discussions. The panel discussion focuses on career paths within the US Government’s Civil Service tracks. Speakers from the US Geological Survey, US Forest Service, and the US Agriculture Research Service will discuss their career trajectories, what their jobs are like, and ways to get started in this sector. Following the panel discussion, breakout rooms hosted by each panelist will be available for attendees to ask agency specific questions.

    • Description:  The workshop is a combination of panel discussions and small group breakout discussions. The panel discussion focuses on career paths within the US Government’s Contractor career tracks. Speakers from NASA, Pacific Northwest National Lab, and the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research will discuss their career trajectories, what their jobs are like, and ways to get started in this sector.
