Coastal Carolina University offers baccalaureate degrees in 54 major fields of study; new undergraduate programs include: Biochemistry, the BA in Economics, Graphic Design, Information Systems, the BFA in Theatre Arts, the BFA in Musical Theatre, and the BS in Nursing (completion program). Additional specializations have been added to the existing programs of Biology, Finance and Sociology. The University also offers seven master’s degree programs in the fields of Business Administration (MBA); Coastal Marine and Wetland Studies; Education, including the M.Ed in Educational Leadership, M.Ed. in Learning; and the MA in Writing. The University’s growing number of international partnerships make it possible for students to study in places such as Australia, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, Greece, France, Germany, Japan and Spain. Coastal Carolina University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the baccalaureate and master’s degrees. The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Spadoni College of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the South Carolina State Board of Education. Coastal Carolina University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). The Department of Computer Science is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The Department of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). The Department of Theatre is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST).
