Wichita State University, which enrolls approximately 15,000 students and supports 450 faculty members, is the only urban-serving research university in the Kansas Regents system. Classified by the Carnegie foundation as a Doctoral/Research University—Intensive, WSU is one of three research universities in the Kansas Board of Regents system. Wichita State offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through the doctoral level.
