The appointee is expected to develop a regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized research program related to watershed nutrient management. The appointee will conduct research and have expertise in soil, water, and nutrient management, especially related to nutrient use efficiency, nutrient movement, plant-nutrient interactions, and mitigating fertilizer/manure impacts on water quality. The appointee will have experience in working across multiple spatial scales. Housed in the Soil and Land Resources Division, this collaborative position is part of a cluster hire in the interdisciplinary Water Resources program. The appointee will, therefore, play an active role in both programs. The appointee will be responsible for teaching a senior level lecture and laboratory course in watershed nutrient management.
