The Civil Engineering’s Center for Water and the Environment at the University of New Mexico is seeking highly qualified candidates for new Ph.D. research assistantships starting Spring 2018.  Research topics include: Food, energy and water nexus; continuous monitoring and dynamic nutrient assessments along river continua; and watershed-scale modeling of terrestrial and aquatic nutrient processes.  

Students from groups underrepresented in engineering are particularly encouraged to apply. A M.S. degree in hydrology, water resources, or environmental engineering with modeling experience in water quality dynamic processes is desirable.
