Postdoc in Hydrology and Watershed Biogeochemistry
Multiple Postdoc Positions in Hydrology and Watershed Biogeochemistry
Application review starts on 7 July 2017.
1. Regional Hydrologic Modeling: We have openings for multiple postdocs to lead data analysis and modeling efforts at the MSU Hydrogeology Lab. Several project opportunities are available focused on improving and applying regional-scale integrated hydrologic models to watersheds across the globe. The successful candidates will develop cutting-edge methods in big data synthesis, real-time simulation, modeling data-poor regions, and improving coupled models of hydrology and agricultural systems. 2. Watershed Biogeochemistry Postdoc: The postdoc will lead efforts to analyze and model solute flux patterns across Arctic and Temperate watersheds using large extant data sets and new high-frequency data from stream sensor systems. The overarching research goal is to quantify controls on dissolved organic matter and nutrient production, processing, and transport through freshwater ecosystems, and to assess how these controls are being altered by regional and global changes.
