You will conceive and develop new, innovative and advanced models and techniques to study the chemistry of the Earth’s and other planetary atmospheres including their structural, dynamical, radiative and chemical properties.  You will contribute to collaboratively expanding the current configuration of global coupled chemistry/climate models at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).

The position is expected to interact with atmospheric modeling groups within GSFC and the general community.  The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an externally funded research program.

The above position is intended for a civil servant hire and is available to all U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals.  A Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Earth sciences or related discipline is highly desirable.  Interested scientists should submit applications through USAJOBS (www.usajobs.gov) (search vacancy announcement # GS17D0112).  Applications must be received by July 26, 2017 via the USAJOBS website.
