The Satellite Oceanography Laboratory at the University of South Carolina, Columbia invites applications from qualified students to our Ph.D. (Marine Science) in the School of  the Earth, Ocean and Environment at the University of South Carolina (USC) to work on problems in Physical Oceanography/ Satellite Oceanography/ Ocean Modelling/Air-Sea Interaction/Tropical Ocean Circulation, and Dynamical  Processes.

Applying for the Graduate School:

A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Oceanography, Marine Science, Meteorology, Atmospheric science is required. Applicants should have strong mathematical and computer skills.

Full Funding is  available staring in Fall, 2017 or Spring 2018 for 3-4 years.

Project : Response of the Indian Ocean to the Atmospheric Intraseasonal Oscillations using NCEP Climate Forecast Model (CFSV2), Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model and Satellite Observations.

Potential student should be interested in the Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology/ Oceanography/Marine Science/Tropical Meteorology and Oceanography and Remote Sensing/Satellite Oceanography.
