Research Physical Scientist, AST, Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics
The Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center seeks a scientist with expertise in the remote sensing retrieval of atmospheric trace gases from satellite data. You will conceive and develop advanced innovative algorithms for the retrieval of stratospheric and tropospheric quantities from satellite observations. You will also study and develop new innovative techniques that extend the understanding of atmospheric composition on a global scale and participate in the development of new instrument concepts for the measurement of environmental parameters of interest to the scientific and operational communities.
The position is expected to interact with atmospheric modeling and calibration/validation groups within GSFC and the general community. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an externally funded research program.
