Two Tenure-Track Assistant Professors, Geological Science
The Department of Geology and Environmental Science at Wheaton College (IL) invites applications for two tenure-track, assistant professors to fill retirement vacancies (employment beginning August 2018).
We are seeking two individuals who will cover undergraduate curricular requirements in the geology and environmental science majors for mineralogy, igneous and metamorphic petrology, structural geology, geomorphology and hydrogeology. Auxiliary specialties contributing to elective courses might include geochemistry, geophysics, soil science, climate science and Geographic Information Science. Other teaching responsibilities may include our summer field course and geoscience and environmental themed general education courses for non-majors. Successful candidates will develop a research program in their discipline that involves collaboration with undergraduates.
