Tenure Track Assistant Professor
The Department of Marine Sciences, Texas A&M University Galveston Campus seeks applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with expertise in the area of Remote Sensing beginning Fall 2018. The successful candidate will have research expertise that is geographically focused on coastal and marine areas within thematic areas related to physical, chemical or biological function of the earth system, coupled human-environment systems, environmental management and change, human impacts on the environment, and water resources.

As a branch campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, the Galveston campus functions much like a school or college within the larger university, to deliver ocean-oriented education, research, and public service in a variety of marine/maritime programs. It houses the only state maritime training academy located on the Gulf of Mexico. Instructional programs are delivered primarily at the 130-acre Mitchell Campus on Pelican Island, near the mouth of Galveston Bay. Texas A&M University at Galveston employs approximately 125 full-time Faculty members (60 as tenured/tenure-track) and an undergraduate enrollment of about 2,700 students and 200 graduate students.
