Visiting Assistant Professor of Geology
The Geology Department at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, VA seeks applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2018-19 academic year with the potential for renewal. A PhD or ABD is required. The position is open to all geoscience disciplines, although preference may be given to someone who could teach field geophysics and/or planetary geology at the introductory level. Courses taught by the visitor will include Physical Geology, and other courses at the introductory or advanced level as appropriate for our curriculum. We seek a dynamic, creative teacher committed to high-quality undergraduate education and student-faculty research. W&L is a nationally ranked, highly selective liberal arts college.
