The GRS department at TU Delft, Netherlands, invites researchers who are interested in ocean/cryosphere/climate interactions to apply for a PhD position to model those with the Community Earth System Model for the cases of the future Greenland ice sheet evolution and the last deglaciation of the massive northern hemisphere ice sheets. The project focus is on how ice sheets affect ocean circulation, and viceversa. Applicants should have a strong background in oceanography, physics, meteorology, Earth Sciences, mathematics and/or computer science. Additionally: a) Strong skills in programming and numerical modelling, b) Experience with ocean and/or climate modelling, c) Excellent communication skills in written and oral English.
