The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) has several software engineering positions open.
Help NCAR revolutionize numerical weather prediction! It’s a big problem: numerical models with 10^9 degrees of freedom and a global observing network (from weather balloons to Earth-observing satellites) generating 10^8 individual measurements, every hour every day of the year. NCAR is a non-profit research institution located in Boulder, Colorado (a nice place!) and needs help with object-oriented design, C++, and python. If you have skills in these areas and are curious about the physical sciences or statistical (Bayesian) estimation, you’ll fit well with the team. To view each job description fully and to submit an application, please visit UCAR's careers website and view jobs: 18136, 18137, and 1844.
