PhD student in Flood Modeling/Hydrology
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Florida International University is looking for three PhD students for the Spring of 2019 (January 2019). The students will work on a NSF-funded project related to smart and green technologies for flood control. The ideal students need to have an outstanding experience in flood simulation (1D and 2D) and watershed-scale hydrological modeling. Experience with forecast simulation modeling (e.g., Quantitative Precipitation Forecasts (QPF)) and global optimization (e.g., GA, pattern search) is a plus.
Please send your CV, GRE and TOEFL (if applicable) scores, brief statement of your academic accomplishments, list of publications to Dr. Arturo S. Leon (firstname.lastname@example.org) by August 15 of 2018.
