The role: SEES is seeking to fill two positions in fundamental/applied geochemistry at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor level. The positions are offered as Teaching and Research (T&R) roles and all candidates will be expected to perform teaching, research and service and engagement duties. Successful candidates will be both expected and encouraged to develop an independent program of research.

The person: Applicants should possess a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field of geochemistry. You should also be able to provide evidence of effective teaching practices and an ability to provide high level teaching and learning outcomes. Your track record should demonstrate outstanding contributions to research, including peer-reviewed publications in leading journals and a history of success in attracting funding through competitive grant schemes. The successful candidates will have an ability to establish effective relationships and to represent and promote academic discipline at a university and wider community level, including industry, government and professional bodies. Appointment at any given level within the Academic Level B-D range will be dependent upon the Selection Panel's assessment of the individual's track record and experience.

Remuneration: These are full-time, continuing appointment at Academic Level B-D. The remuneration package will be in the below ranges, plus superannuation contribution of up to 17%.

Level B: AUD$92,142 - $109,419 p.a. (total package AUD$107,807 - $128,020 p.a.).

Level C: AUD$112,874 - $130,150 p.a. (total package AUD$132,063 - $152, 276 p.a.).

Level D: AUD$135,909 - $149,731 p.a. (total package AUD$159,014 - $175,185 p.a.).
