The role: The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor – Industry Specialist in Residence. In this role, you will further develop the School's curricula in ore body modelling and exploration geochemistry, by engaging with the mining geology and geological sciences industry and performing project-based research. This is a full-time, fixed-term (three year), teaching and research focused position, focused on enhancing the nexus between teaching and professional practice in the exploration, mining and resources sectors.

The person: Applicants should possess recognised qualifications in a relevant area of geology and also have a minimum of five years' experience as a practicing professional geologist in the exploration, mining or other resource sector. Teaching skills at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders are essential.

Remuneration: This is a full-time fixed-term three year appointment at Academic Level D. The remuneration package will be in the range AUD$135,909 - $149,731p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$159,014 - $175,185 p.a.).
