Assistant Professor – Structural Geology #603767
The School of Earth and Sustainability (SES) within the College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences is seeking an exceptional candidate in the broad discipline of structural geology. Candidates are expected to develop a strong externally funded research program, instruct undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in structural geology and other general geology courses, and advise students at the PhD, MS, and undergraduate levels. We are especially interested in interdisciplinary candidates who combine traditional field-based structural research and kinematic analyses with geospatial analysis and expertise in geochemical, geophysical, remote sensing, or other analytical or computational techniques. Candidates with research interests that complement current SES strengths and an interest in intersecting with a diverse group of researchers including geologists, geochemists, geophysicists, and environmental science and policy specialists are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications: An earned PhD in geosciences conferred by start date of August 19, 2019. A minimum of one peer-reviewed publication in the broad field of structural geology.
