The Chemistry and Geochemistry Department at Montana Tech is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor with expertise in Analytical Chemistry or another closely related discipline.  This position requires an earned Ph.D. by the job start date of August 15, 2019 and is contingent on funding.  Primary teaching responsibilities will be in Quantitative Chemical Analysis, Advanced Instrumental Analysis, the General Chemistry series, and other areas as needed.  Development of an active, funded research program is expected using both undergraduate and graduate students.  Research areas including, but not limited to, analytical chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, and environmental chemistry are targeted for strategic development within the department as is supporting the newly proposed Earth Science and Engineering PhD program.  Other duties as required may be assigned.
