The Climate, Clouds, and Land Modeling group in the Department of Geography at the University of Georgia (PI: Gabriel Kooperman; is seeking applications for a PhD position on modeling the hydrological cycle, with focus on extreme storms and precipitation. The PhD student will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art Earth system models and collaborate with scientists at several national laboratories. Perspective students should have a background in atmospheric/earth/climate/physical science or a related field and a strong interest in modeling the Earth system.
