We invite applications for a joint Assistant Professor position with a research focus on signal processing in applied ocean sciences. Of interest are all aspects of signal processing in the ocean including but not limited to: the development of innovative signal processing and parameter estimation approaches for use with data collected from arrays of marine sensors (acoustic, seismic, electromagnetic), environmental inversions, data assimilation, and marine environment sensing technology development. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the potential capacity to develop/maintain an innovative sea-going research program along with mentorship of both graduate and undergraduate students and an established record of exceptional classroom instruction.

Applicants are required to have a PhD or advancement to candidacy at the time of application in Engineering, Physics, Oceanography or a related field, a competitive record of publication and service, as well as evidence of ability or strong potential to secure extramural funding and conduct an active research program.
