Job Details
Description:
Wellesley is a highly selective liberal arts college for women located 12 miles west of Boston.
The Department of Geosciences invites applications for a non-tenure-track Visiting Lecturer position for the 2019 – 20 academic year. The primary responsibility of the position is teaching introductory geosciences, earth materials, and a structure/tectonics-focused 300-level course. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in field geology and a commitment to teaching in the field. The Department supports student faculty research and would be delighted if the candidate can bring their own research into the classroom.
Requirements:
Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. in geoscience, or near completion, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
Additional Applications Instructions:
Review of applications begins on April 1, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching statement, and the names/email addresses of three references through our online application system at: http://career.wellesley.edu/postings/2761
If circumstances make it impossible to submit materials through our application site, please email us at working@wellesley.edu. Questions about the position should be directed to Dan Brabander at dbraband@wellesley.edu. Wellesley College is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching and service. We are dedicated to building a culturally diverse faculty, and strongly encourage applications from under-represented minorities and women.
