The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at Marquette University invites PhD and Masters applicants to join Dr. Walter McDonald on a recently funded project to evaluate the impact of green infrastructure on sanitary sewer inflow and infiltration. The objective of the project is develop a modeling tool to assess the impact that residential hydrology has on inflow and infiltration at a sewershed scale. The graduate research assistant will lead the effort to develop the modeling approach and will work in close collaboration with industry and governmental project sponsors at the NSF Water Equipment & Policy Center (http://www.wepiucrc.com/). A preference will be given to candidates with a background in hydrologic modeling, geospatial analysis, or green infrastructure.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with the ability to work across disciplinary and institutional boundaries. In addition to the desired project-specific qualifications, the successful candidates will have a Bachelors or Masters degree in civil and environmental engineering or other related field, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
