Job Details

Seeking graduate student (MS or PhD) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study groundwater resources in complex geological environments. The successful candidate will have a background in geology and groundwater modeling. Experience with applied geophysics is a plus. Must be self-motivated, hard-working, and have excellent communication skills. This is a fully funded position with tuition remission and competitive stipend. The student will have the opportunity to contribute to groundwater sustainability on the High Plains. Degree home is in the School of Natural Resources, but opportunity exists to collaborate with other departments, the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute, the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, and Nebraska's Natural Resources Districts.

The School of Natural Resources offers graduate programs leading to a Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Resource Sciences. The broad diversity of climate, habitat, hydrology, soils, and near-surface and subsurface geology across Nebraska provides a multitude of opportunities for field study in each of these areas. Our excellent faculty conduct research throughout Nebraska, across the United States, and around the world. Position includes tuition remission for 12 credit hours fall, spring, and summer.
