Postdoc in climate and carbon cycle modeling, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Science (IAP/CAS/Beijing)
We seek a postdoctoral researcher in Earth system modeling. The position provides interdisciplinary research opportunities in several directions including (1) atmospheric transport modeling and data assimilation; (2) carbon-cycle climate interaction; (3) land and vegetation modeling and data assimilation. Your research can focus on either global, regional scale or both. You will join an exciting pilot project of building a carbon monitoring system for Beijing, and participate in the national high-performance supercomputing facility EarthLab activities.
Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience (Salary range: 200,000-300,000 RMB or approximately 30,000-42,000 USD per year). Outstanding candidate can seek national fellowship with more competitive salary level and additional research support.
