We are looking for a motivated graduate student who is interested in studying how forest management and restoration affects biogeochemical cycling of mercury, a global pollutant, at the watershed scale. Specifically, we would apply stable mercury isotopes as a novel tool to gain new insights into various biogeochemical processes of Hg. We are looking for a Ph.D. student (for 4-5 years of study) to participate in this research project, and our Ph.D. students are compensated for a 12-month stipend of around $30,000 (USD) through a combination of teaching and research assistantship.
