The Department of Geosciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee seeks a post-baccalaureate research intern in hydrogeology for a full-time one-year appointment (renewable for up to five years) beginning in the fall semester of 2019. The intern must hold a bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental engineering, or a discipline suitable for research in hydrogeology. The intern will support the startup of new faculty hire Dr. Charles J. Paradis. The intern will be responsible for designing, conducting, and interpreting data from 1-D column, 2-D ant farm, and 3-D sand tank flow and transport experiments in porous media in the laboratory. The intern will also be responsible for characterizing aquifers for teaching and research purposes at several field sites throughout Wisconsin. The annual salary for the intern will be $35,000 (USD) and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
