Broadband Simulation of Ground-Motions. Funded by a New Frontiers in Research Funding (NFRF) grant. This two-year grant involves simulation of earthquake waveforms using 3D wave propagation algorithms related to Cascadia megathrust shaking and risk analyses in collaboration with researchers and their students at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Suitable for highly motivated students with backgrounds in computer and parallel programming or computational geo/physics. Students with strong computational and programming skills are encouraged to apply.
