The Interdisciplinary Hydrology Laboratory at West Virginia University has an opening for a PhD graduate research assistant (GRA). West Virginia University is the state’s flagship research-one institution, and is among the top universities in the nation, with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. The position will be filled by January 1, 2020. The incumbent will gain experience investigating land use practices, hydro-climatological processes, water quality and/or eco-hydrological / geochemical regimes in a mixed-land-use watershed of the Appalachian region of the United States. Duties will include environmental monitoring, equipment maintenance, laboratory analyses, collection- processing- and analyses of data, and / or modeling and require coursework, dissertation and multiple peer reviewed articles.

Applicants must possess bachelors, and master’s degrees completed in environmental sciences, hydrology, water resources, water chemistry, or a closely related field. Successful applicants will work collaboratively and independently, must have a valid US driver's license and automobile.
