Professional Staff - Scientists or Engineers

The Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board (www.nwtrb.gov) is seeking to hire up to three Scientists and/or Engineers.  We are seeking candidates at both senior and junior levels. For junior applicants, this will be an opportunity to work with, and be mentored by, Board members and senior scientist and engineers on the staff. Applicants must have a master’s degree or higher, or equivalent experience, in a relevant scientific or engineering field, such as geoscience, material science and engineering, civil engineering, systems engineering, environmental engineering, nuclear engineering, geological engineering, or other similar or related fields. Familiarity with the U.S. program and/or programs in other countries for managing and disposing of spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste is highly desirable. Occasional travel will be required.
