Job Details
Working closely with world-leading researchers in the University of Adelaide’s Intelligent Water Decisions group, the successful applicant will develop scalable software tools that will enable industry and government stakeholders to quantify and effectively manage their climate risks.
The project builds upon a rich set of algorithms and tools that have been developed and published by the University of Adelaide research team for risk assessment and stress-testing systems to climate variability and change. The successful candidate will further develop and refine these tools, focusing on improving functionality, performance, accessibility and applicability for a wide range of use-cases. There will also be numerous opportunities to drive fundamental advances in stochastic space-time modelling techniques that can address real world problems related to climate risks.
There are likely to be significant opportunities to develop original research outcomes and work closely with industry to co-create tools that will maximise the utility of the tools to a broad set of application areas.
