Physical Geography Lecturer

The Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks applications for a non-tenure track lecturer position with a specialization in Physical Geography/Geology to begin in August 2020. We are seeking a broadly-trained physical geographer who is able to teach introductory courses in physical geography and geology  as well as courses in the Geography major and Geology minor, including upper division electives in their area of expertise. An ability to teach an introductory course in GIS and organize or lead field trips/field schools is desirable. We seek also candidates with a strong commitment to mentoring undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in physical geography or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
