Job Details

The U.S. Geological Survey is looking for an individual who has successfully managed a large, geographically dispersed science organization to serve as the Regional Director-Midcontinent Region. The Region includes 18 Science Centers in 11 States from the Great Lakes to the Dakotas. The streamgage network is used to monitor and assess water resources across the region. Other research focuses on fisheries and aquatic ecosystems, midcontinental plant/animal species, invasive species, wildlife disease, and energy and mining.

The advertisement is open all US Citizens.  The closing date is 10/15/19. 

Qualifications include experience that is indicative of senior executive level managerial capability, the ability to manage a multi-disciplinary and geographically dispersed science organization, and the ability and professional stature to effectively represent the interests and capabilities of science programs.
