The Department of Chemistry offers graduate assistantships for M.S. or Ph.D. students in Environmental Chemistry.
Research in the department spans a wide range:
- from field work to laboratory work to computer modeling
- from global biogeochemical cycles to local ecosystems
- air and water pollution and health effects
There is not another Chemistry Department that can match our breadth of environmental chemistry research. We have seven faculty whose primary research focus is environmental chemistry. Of those seven, five do field work. Additional faculty carry out research on green chemistry, renewable materials/energy and environmentally friendly processes.
For more information about the program, see https://www.esf.edu/chemistry/graduate/environmental/
