Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Indiana University invites applicants for a post‐doctoral research position under the supervision of Dr. Brian Yanites and Dr. Douglas Edmonds. The successful candidate will be involved in a large, multidisciplinary Indiana University funded project called Prepared for Environmental Change (https://eri.iu.edu/). The successful candidate will be expected to investigate hillslope geomorphology and how hillslope processes are changing in response to different environmental forcings. Experience or training in one or more of the following will be considered positively: unmanned aerial vehicles, lidar acquisition (aerial or ground) and processing, machine learning, field instrumentation, and numerical modeling. 

A Ph.D. by time of appointment in geology (or earth science equivalent), geography, or engineering is required.

The position is for one year, with the opportunity of renewal depending on progress and funding availability.
