WATC Data Specialist

The Wilson Alaska Technical Center is looking for a Data Specialist. This position will help with the continuous operation and maintenance of seismic and infrasound monitoring stations in support of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and the expanding Geophysical Detection of Nuclear Proliferation University Affiliated Research Center.

The Wilson Alaska Technical Center (WATC) is the leading group within the recently formed, and expanding, Geophysical Detection of Nuclear Proliferation (GDNP) University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) at the Geophysical Institute. WATC enjoys a well-earned international reputation as leader in research and global operational activities. With this in mind, WATC is looking for a Data Specialist to perform a wide range of responsibilities including data administration, maintaining a secure IT network infrastructure, and working closely with WATC faculty and staff to develop unique tools to facilitate research and operations. This position will have the opportunity to develop innovative and creative products that support an exciting research and operational team that has global reach.
