Geohealth and Hydrology Laboratory (GeoHLab) at University of Florida is recruiting. Two funded research opportunities are available for highly motivated and creative individuals with a strong interest in pursuing multi-disciplinary approaches to address emerging issues at the interface of water, environment and human-health including:
Remote sensing of hydrosphere
Modeling of hydrologic and climatic processes, issues of scales, observational data analysis with a focus on regional and global occurrence of water-related pathogens;
Impact of climate change on civil infrastructure;
Desirable backgrounds include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or geosciences with particular emphasis on environmental and hydrology-related coursework. A desire to develop strong analytical and computational skillset (e.g., GIS/statistical modeling/processing and handling of remote sensing data) is necessary and should reflect from your short statement of interests.
