Peking University Postdoctoral Fellowships in Earth and Space Sciences

The School of Earth and Space Sciences, Peking University seeks outstanding candidates for several openings of postdoctoral fellowships, starting in 2020. The School is a premier institution in China and the world in research and education of earth and space sciences. The areas of interests include a broad spectrum of earth and space sciences (geophysics, geology, geochemistry, space physics, environmental science, and geographical information system). Of particular interests in Geophysics are various branches of seismology (from source to structure), seismotectonics, physics of Earth’s interior (from crust to core), geomagnetism, geodesy, earthquake physics, and geodynamics. Candidates are strongly encouraged to identify potential advisers in the applications. The positions are for two years. Salary is commensurate with experience, starting from 200,000 RMB /year. Compensation can be substantially higher along with discretionary research funds, depending on the adviser’s research projects and applicant’s qualifications. The positions offer health, housing, retirement and other work benefits as regular employees.
