The Computational Climate Change Lab in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Connecticut (UConn) seeks applicants for two fully funded MS or PhD positions in paleoclimate modeling to begin in fall 2020. Potential research topics include past greenhouse climates, glacial-interglacial cycles, and mass extinctions. Students who will soon graduate with a degree in physics, math, chemistry, atmospheric sciences, or geology are especially encouraged to apply.

About the University - UConn (https://uconn.edu) is a top 25 public research university situated in the beautiful rolling hills of central Connecticut but is just a short drive from both New York City and Boston. The recently established Department of Geosciences is made up of a group of enthusiastic scientists who are researching a wide range of topics in Earth sciences.
About the positions - Students will have continuous stipend support (~$26,000 USD per year). Admission includes tuition waiver, health insurance benefits, and additional funding opportunities to travel to professional meetings.
