Job Title: William E. White Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering

The position is funded by the Department of Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

The William E. White Postdoctoral Fellowship, created from a fund endowed by the estate of William E. White, will be awarded to an outstanding scientist who has completed a Ph.D. degree, normally within the two-year period preceding the time of the appointment.

The area of research is open, but the scholar’s research must be complementary to that being pursued in the Department of Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering. The research program to be undertaken and the level of support of research costs and moving expenses will be negotiated with a faculty member at the time the award is made. Potential applicants may obtain an outline of current research interests on the Departmental website http://www.queensu.ca/geol/home and are required to initiate contact with a potential faculty supervisor in advance of applying. Fit with the research interests of the Department and the research excellence of the candidate will be the primary considerations in the selection process.
