The McDonald Research Group in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at Marquette University has graduate research assistantship opening for a PhD student with an anticipated start date of Jan to Aug 2021.
The student will work on research projects in the areas of urban hydrology, green stormwater infrastructure, and UAV remote sensing. The student will be given the opportunity to perform independent research and work across disciplinary and institutional boundaries. In addition to research, the student will receive unique training and experience in teaching to equip them for a potential academic career.
The research assistantship is funded through the Department of Education Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) program. As a requirement of the funding program, the PhD candidate must provide evidence that they are U.S. citizens or nationals, are permanent residents of the U.S., are documented by the Immigration and Naturalization Service to be in the U.S. for other than a temporary purpose and intend to become permanent residents, or are citizens of any one of the Freely Associated States.
