The Catchment Hydrology and Spatial Analysis lab (http://www.hooriajami.ucr.edu/) at the University of California Riverside (UCR) led by Dr. Hoori Ajami, invites applications from prospective PhD students interested in pursuing research in mountain hydrology and modeling.
Project: The focus of this NSF-funded project is on understanding and quantifying mountain system recharge processes in the Sierra Nevada, California. The project will have a field and modeling component.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold a BS degree in Hydrology, Environmental Sciences/Civil Engineering or related disciplines. Candidates with a MS degree are preferred.
Skills: The ideal candidate would have a strong quantitative background and computer programming skills. Previous experience in hydrologic modeling, isotope hydrology and GIS are preferred.
