The University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Physics in the Atmospheric Science Program. We invite applications from numerical modelers with research interests that complement and extend beyond departmental strengths in observational air quality, fire weather, and hydroclimate. The successful candidate will combine excellence in research, the ability to secure external funding, and a commitment to teaching and mentoring students.  Teaching responsibilities will be in Atmospheric Science, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We especially encourage applications from historically underrepresented groups. The candidate’s application should include a research plan, a statement of teaching interest and philosophy, and a diversity and inclusion statement. A competitive start-up package will be provided.

Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2020.
