George Mason University Graduate Studies
The Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Earth Sciences (AOES) at George Mason University is seeking graduate students interested in pursuing both MS and PhD degrees in Climate Dynamics, Climate Science and Earth Science, starting in fall 2021. Students in AOES graduate degrees pursue research in climate change and climate variability, predictability of weather and climate, aerosols and air quality, land-ocean-atmosphere interactions, geology, structural geology, paleontology, oceanography, coastal studies, stratigraphy, and more. AOES has both teaching assistantships and research assistantships that can provide support to qualified students, which may include stipends, tuition support, and health insurance depending on the position and available funding. In addition, there are additional opportunities for scholarships and conference travel support both within the department and from the university.
