Job Details

The Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment at Princeton University invites applications for a postdoctoral or more senior scholar to conduct interdisciplinary research on the co-benefits of various greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation strategies and energy technologies for climate, air quality and health. We seek candidates with doctoral level training in energy economics or policy, atmospheric science (including satellite data analysis and atmospheric chemistry transport modeling), or public health and with an interest and ability to bridge across disciplines and conduct integrated assessments. Regions of focus may include China, India or the United States, or may utilize global analyses and tools. The power, transport, residential, industrial or agricultural sectors may be examined.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Prof. Denise Mauzerall (https://scholar.princeton.edu/mauzerall) and collaborate with scholars both inside and outside of Princeton. The appointment will be through the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

The research position requires a PhD in a relevant field and does not support work towards the completion of a degree. Salary and full employee benefits are offered in accordance with University guidelines. This is a one-year position with a possibility of renewal depending on performance and funding.

Applicants must submit a CV, a cover letter describing their areas of expertise and research interests, and contact information for three references. References may be contacted for the candidates who make the shortlist for this position. The submission must be online via AHIRE link.:  https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/18841

The review process will commence immediately and continue until positions are filled. This position is subject to the University’s background check policy.
