The Kimbell School of Geosciences invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin Fall, 2021. We seek candidates that will complement our current expertise in petroleum geology, paleontology and sedimentology, multi-scale geophysics and tectonics, and igneous petrology. Areas of specialization may include hydrology, geomorphology, hydrogeology, or remote sensing. The successful candidate will teach introductory courses, geographical information systems (GIS) courses, environmental science courses, and other appropriate upper-level and graduate courses of their design. This person will also eventually direct an interdisciplinary program of study in Environmental Sciences. Experience in developing successful undergraduate and graduate research programs will be given special consideration. Requirements include a Ph.D. in geosciences, strong interpersonal skills, and publications in refereed journals commensurate with experience. ABD is acceptable at time of selection but completion date must be no later than August 15, 2021.
