Graduate Research Assistantship in Wetland Hydrology and Water Quality Modeling
Ph.D. Level Graduate Assistantship at Auburn University in Earth Systems Sciences (start date: Fall 2021)
We are recruiting a Ph.D. student to work on the modification of an existing physically-based model for hydrology and nutrient cycles in natural and constructed wetlands. Potential candidates should have a BS or MS in Environmental Science (Civil, Biological, or Agricultural Engineering) or a related field and expected to have very strong knowledge in Hydrology, water quality, and hydrologic/water quality modeling. This position requires solid programming skills. The main component of the model to be improved has been written in Fortran, and its supporting tools have been written in several languages, including Python, MATLAB, and C#. Therefore, extremely strong programming and analytical skills are of paramount importance for the success of the project. Interested candidates should email a cover letter, a copy of their CV, unofficial university transcripts, TOEFL score, and the names and contact information of three references to Dr. Latif Kalin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
