The University of Wyoming has a fully funded PhD graduate research assistantship in hydrologic sciences. This project focuses on water use in agricultural systems in the Upper Colorado River basin, and the student will work on a team consisting of academic scientists and private contractors. The student will be expected to perform field work and computational modeling relating to field-scale water balance to determine how consumptive use is related to changes in land management. This 3-year project has multiple field sites in watersheds contributing to the Green River in western Colorado. We seek a highly motivated student with a background in hydrology or related discipline.
