Funded PhD positions are available in the department of Structural Engineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) starting Fall quarter 2021 or Winter 2022 in the areas of computational mechanics, data-driven computing, geomechanics, as well as material characterization and modeling. Candidates with bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related fields are encouraged to apply.
