The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tennessee Tech University invites applications for a Lecturer in Environmental Engineering and Water Resources. This is a full-time, nine month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2021, and renewable based on satisfactory annual reviews, the needs of the department, and future funding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in environmental engineering and water resources in addition to service to the department, university, and profession.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from accredited institutions in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related engineering field; excellent written and oral communication skills, and evidence of potential for excellence in teaching. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the University’s sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications include registration as a professional engineer (PE); a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or closely related engineering field; and experience teaching in higher education.

The department is home to approximately 310 undergraduate and 30 graduate students. A concentration and minor in Environmental Engineering will be offered beginning Fall 2021. More information about the department can be found at http://www.tntech.edu/cee.
